Heys Guys! I know I missed quite a few days, so what I figured might be a better plan for me is to write multiple days at once. That way the post is more interesting and I don't have to get on everyday to post. It is a win win for everyone! So here we go!
Day 6- I am thankful for my instant pot. If you don't have one, get one! Put it on your registry, you won't regret it! I got mine for my birthday from my mom, I knows she is the best. Instant pots cook meals fast and with ease, plus it is all done in one pot! When you are done you only have to wash one thing! So great! I was able to make a meal that would give me lunch for the rest of the week. If you would like to the recipes that I have made in my Instant pot, let me know. I will gladly post them!
Day 7- I am thankful for the chilly weather! It is November and it actually feels cold in Arizona, shocker!! With all the storms going happening Arizona is fortunate enough to get to enjoy the benefits of those storms. It is nice that I can finally wear my fall clothes! I have so many. What is your favorite season?
Day 8- I am thankful for half days at school. Half days, the schools greatest day, students love this day and teachers love them even more. I am thankful for half days because after our staff meetings I am able to catch up on my work. I was able to finish most of my grading that I haven't done for 4 weeks. I know shame shame, but grading is the hardest part of teaching. I know you may be thinking it is the easiest and truly it is, but it is just the hardest part to get done for me.
I am also thankful for my boyfriend's family because they have welcomed me in with open arms. My boyfriend and I were able to go over to his sister's house and have dinner with her. Dinner wasn't anything special, but the company was great! I love her children and she recently just had a baby girl. She is just so darn cute! We were able to not only enjoy a dinner, but we were able to go out shopping. It was just a little something that really made the night for me.
Day 9- I am thankful for the furniture funding we were able to receive from the district to get some new furniture in the classrooms. I was able to receive two black bookshelves, and a new rug. After school I transformed my room. I feel it flows so much better now and I know will help me become a better teacher and my students will feel more comfortable now that everything has a place.
Day 10-I am thankful for Netflix. Some days I don't want to get out of bed and do things, so I stay in my pjs and cuddle up in bed with a blanket and some Netflix. These days couldn't be possible if Netflix wasn't around. I don't have cable, so this is my only form of entertainment. What Netflix shows do you enjoy watching?

30 Days of Gratitude-Days 4 and 5
Hey Guys! I really thought this challenge was going to be hard, but is so easy and simply. I think I mostly thought it would be hard posting everyday, but I am excited to post. I also thought it would be a fun idea to incorporate this into my classroom. My students were soooo excited and wanted to tell me EVERY SINGLE THING they are thankful for in their life(which was good and also tiring). So here we go!
Day 4- I am thankful for meaningful conversations. Yesterday I had the chance to sit down with my best friend and just have a chit chat, but it was more than chit chat. The conversation was deep, meaningful, and productive. You know one of those talks that it seems both parties walk away feeling empowered, moved, and inspired. You know one of those talks that makes you glad you are friends with this person and able to have this type of conversation. It was great! If you haven't had one of those talks in a long time then call up that friend and just talk. Take down the walls and become vulnerable, I promise it is worth it in the end.
Day 5- I am thankful for the ability to change. Man life would stink if we stayed the same all the time!! Each day we get the opportunity to change one thing about our life. It doesn't have to be something big and drastic. It doesn't have to be life altering. It be can as simple as driving a different way home or changing the radio station. Today I was able to change how I taught my reading block, clearly a big change. I needed it! Lately I was feeling stuck in a rut at work. I was beginning to feel I wasn't really teaching my students, like I wasn't really helping them grow. The same old thing every day,EXCEPT today!! My students seem to love our reading block and seemed more engaged than before. Cross your fingers the same happens tomorrow!

30 Days of Gratitude-Days 1-3
Hey Guys! It is finally November. We are so close to the end of the year, my favorite part of the year besides my birthday. I decided that this would be the year I find 30 things I am grateful for and write about them. I am a little bit behind, but that is no problem. I will just include those three days in this one post. Let's see how this goes!
Day 1- I am thankful for modern technology that allows me to quickly make calls. I was in desperate need of my venting, talking, and crying. I had nowhere to turn, besides my phone. I was able to call my person and talk and cry with him. I needed it so much. I just think what if I didn't have that, how hard it would be to go through something and not have those we need right at our finger tips.
Day 2- I am thankful for my two strong legs because I am able to take nice long walks with my love. Through these walks we have been able to get to know each other on a deeper level, we are able to discuss future plans, we are able to see eye to eye, and we are able to just enjoy one another's company. If you haven't taken a walk in a while find a friend and go!
Day 3- I am thankful for my mom's work. Every year her work has a picnic in which family and friends are invited to come. This year the picnic was held at the Phoenix Zoo. I hadn't been to Zoo in so long, I was sooo excited! As a family we were able to spend time together and enjoy the zoo. We all had some good laughs and enjoyed the great weather.

Not with a fizzle but with a bang! 2017... Oh what a year!!
Hello! Here I go again with my annual look at my year post. I really do enjoy this time of year and enjoy reflecting back on my year and all things that happened.
This year was one of change, growth, and lots of first. I hope you enjoy this year as much as I enjoyed this year.
Here we go!
Flash back with me to the beginning of 2017!

Be prepared May was the month of I was the busiest and had the most fun.
June 2017
July 2017
August 2017
September 2017
October 2017
October was also another month of lots of fun! First off I went to the Arizona State Fair with some amazing people I have known for quite a long time. Emily has grown up to be such a great young woman and if I was younger or she was older we would be best friends. She is such a fun spirit to be around and enjoyed being young with her.
Another thing that happened this month was celebrating Halloween three different ways. The first at a Masquerade ball with Reed and Molly. Then went with my parents to their annual Halloween party at church. We are one crazy bunch even through our costumes you can tell the craziness. The last is I got to celebrate Halloween with my first graders and my parents were able to come join us. We sliced open pumpkins and counted the seeds, if you ask me very educational and fun!

Here we go!
Flash back with me to the beginning of 2017!
January 2017
Became a 2nd grade teacher at Copper Trails Elementary Rm #143. Who would have known that right after my student teaching I would have landed a job. There I was thinking that I would be great, but then realized how much hard work it would take to be the greatness I saw in my head. I am still not there, but wouldn't want to be doing any other thing in the world, I truly love teaching.
Visited the Snow with Family.
First Bulletin Board of many.
Astrid and Mike's Wedding! Bridesmaid for life, just kidding. I am so glad my prima and her husband were able to get married and live happily ever after. I am also glad that she is able to live in the United States and be closer to family. I truly wish the best for them and can't wait til they have kids and grow their family.
March 2017
We are pretty funny and great together! I love that we have some amazing times together, but we also have some rough times together. We are strong together and pull each other through. Here we go 4 years strong!
April 2017
Unicorn Frapps were a thing! Don't think I would ever get a one again.
First learning fair! The theme was westward expansion. This was probably the most fun I had while teaching my first half year. I am excited to do it again this year with my first grade team.
May 2017Be prepared May was the month of I was the busiest and had the most fun.
First field trip! 2nd grade finishing out Westward expansion with a trip to pioneer village.
2nd Escape the Room for Molly's birthday. We made out alive with 9 mins to spare!
May was the time for concerts!
Chainsmokers concert first! Favorite song and I am very sorry for the horrible singing. I don't care too much I was singing/yelling my heart out during this concert.
Dreams come true part 1! I have always wanted to go to a Chris Brown concert. Here was my chance! I went with a good friend who also had a crush on Chris Brown since a young age.
Chris Brown's Concert. Thank you Allie for going with me and experiencing what our 7th grade little hearts always wished for.
Train was one of those concerts you go to because you can. I had a good time with my parents and our family friend. Also I would love to do more concerts as the Ah-Kin Pavilion. It was amazing to be outside and in such good weather!
June 2017
My hair has gone through a lot of changes, but I think I finally found something I like and would love to keep as long as I am young and my hair is willing.
First time having rolled ice cream. If I do say so myself it was so delicious!
Tuscon open house and I went with the best people.
Sunsets in Arizona are just great. This is the sunset I saw my first night in my apartment. Molly and I went looking for an apartment in January and found this one, but then realized we weren't quite ready to move out. Here we are 6 months later in our new apartment.
July 2017
Two chairs for two friends! I couldn't help but buy these two chairs, they were nice and on sale.
On rare occasions do I get photos of me and Joseph, but on the rarest occasions I get just photos of Joseph. I have to admit he is pretty handsome! His smile literally lights up my day. He makes me feel like myself and and a place I call home. Again Arizona sunsets are truly the best.
I got lucky! All of these first graders get to call me Ms. Williams.
It is nice when my mom comes to visit and help out in the classroom. P.S. my students already love her!
Finally found a Lularoe dress I love.
Joseph started coaching soccer for his nephews. I was going to practices with him and pretending to be helpful.
October was also another month of lots of fun! First off I went to the Arizona State Fair with some amazing people I have known for quite a long time. Emily has grown up to be such a great young woman and if I was younger or she was older we would be best friends. She is such a fun spirit to be around and enjoyed being young with her.

November 2017
First Color Run! It was such an amazing fundraiser and can't wait to do it again next year! I love my first grade team and love all the support, fun times, and great conversation we have.
Rocker 7 Farm field trip. We learned a lot about being on a farm and how to conserve energy in our homes. I think my students really loved it. We got to take a pumpkin, vegetables, and a sunflower home.
Who said learning can't be fun?! I try to incorporate fun activities for the students to do in the classroom that involves learning and also involves moving.
December 2017
It is always a sweet moment when one of my kids is spotlighted! He was picked to basketball with these two guys and he did an amazing job!!
My first graders did a wonderful job singing the songs they practiced for two months. It was a very proud teacher moment.
I love date nights with this guy! We decided to actually take a photo since we don't take many. I love him and excited for new year!
Gingerbread houses!! It was a lot of work, but totally worth it! They seemed to have so much fun and their gingerbread house turned out so great!!
Ended the year with this dog. He is cute and very cuddly! Joseph and I share him and not to often to I get to have him at my house. I would say he seemed pretty happy being at my house.
I am so excited for the new year and cant't wait for it will bring! I already have a lot planned and some things that may come as a surprise! In the meantime I am going to continue to.....
Love life <3
